CDA Travel is the team companion app for Charlotte Development Academy families, alongside the club websites. This policy covers what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

Who uses the app

CDA Travel is a private app for Charlotte Development Academy families, players and staff. Parents and staff create accounts, for any age group. Players on U14 teams and older can join only with an invite code from a parent in their family; the parent's invite is their consent, including for players who are still 12. There are no player accounts for U13 teams and younger.

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and a display name, used to sign you in (via Apple, Google, or email) and to identify you in team chat.
• Family and player links — which club players your family follows, so the app can show the right schedule, photos, and travel plans.
• Content you share — team chat messages, photos and polls; gallery photos you upload and the players you tag in them; profile pictures; hotel picks, ratings and dining recommendations; and meals players heart or parents favorite in Fuel.
• Work tab drills— the juggling and Pull V’s drills use the camera on your device to count touches. Video is processed on the phone and not kept, except for a short replay you can play back and discard. Drill results stay on your phone. If you turn on “Share with the club” for a juggling session, that session’s video and its count are uploaded to the club’s private storage so we can improve the counter; it is off by default and per session.
• Player invites — when a parent invites a player, the app creates a short code and a link to cdaxspg.com/join. The link carries only that code.
• Safety records — reports you make about a message or photo, and people you block. Reports go to the app administrator only.
• Notification tokens — a device token so we can send chat, photo, meal-request and schedule alerts you've allowed.
• Location, in the moment — if you allow it, your current location is used on your device while the app is open to estimate drive times to fields. It is never sent to us or stored.
• Face ID — if you turn on the app lock, iOS checks your face on your device. We never receive biometric data.

How it's used

Everything above exists to run the team experience: schedules, away trip planning, team chat, shared game photos and meal planning. Data is visible only to the club and the families on your team. Team chat has two rooms: families and staff share one; players have their own room that only players on that team can read. We do not sell or share data with advertisers, run ads, use tracking for marketing, or send your data to AI services.

Community rules and safety

Everyone agrees to the community rules before using chat. Messages with abusive or explicit language are blocked automatically. Anyone can report a message or photo, or block another user, from inside the app; reports go straight to the app administrator, who removes content that breaks the rules.

Where it lives

Data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase (accounts, chat, schedules), Cloudflare (photos), Sanity (club and gallery content) and Vercel (websites) — under their standard security practices, in the United States. Sign-in with Apple or Google shares only your name and email with us.

Children and teens

Player accounts are for U14 teams and older, are created only with a parent's invite, and are linked to that parent's family. Parents can see which players in their family have accounts. Player names and game photos are club roster content managed by the club; parents can ask for any photo of their child to be removed at any time, and staff can remove photos from the app directly.

Keeping and deleting data

• Delete your account in the app — Settings → Delete account. It permanently removes your profile, chat messages and photos, reactions and votes, meal requests and favorites, reports, blocks and notification tokens, and photos you uploaded to the gallery. If you're the last member of your family, the family and its player links, hotel picks and ratings go too.
• Otherwise we keep data while your account is active. Schedules and club content belong to the club.
• Edit your display name and players in Settings at any time.
• Location and notifications can be turned off any time in iOS Settings.
